In a major scientific event, the Kurdistan Students Association will host a global NASA competition. The competition is being held for the first time in the Kurdistan Region and will take place in Sulaymaniyah.
The competition, titled "NASA International Space Apps Challenge - Slemani," is an annual global event. While it has been held in Iraq before, this is the first time it will be organized in the Kurdistan Region by the Kurdistan
Students Association. The event will last for two days, taking place on October 4th and 5th at the Titanic Hall.
In the first stage of the NASA competition, 10 teams will participate, with each team tackling a specific challenge. The goal is to succeed and advance to the next stage to participate in the major global competition.
The challenges are set by NASA teams, and participants will work on developing systems and software, using data and information sourced from NASA.
The teams will be assisted by several supervising teachers who will help evaluate their performance. Out of the 10 teams, only one will be selected to advance and participate in the future global competition.
