Medical Procedures Course Successfully Concluded

The Kurdistan Students' Association held a three-day course titled "Medical Procedures" for students at its main building. For this purpose, 75 learners participated and were awarded certificates.
Through the Kurdistan Students' Association, 250 students registered to participate in the medical procedures course, but 75 students were accepted.
The core principles of the course were introduced to the learners through both practical and theoretical methods, enabling them to benefit appropriately from their participation. The course continued for three days.
On the first day, participants were introduced to different types of injections, which included (subcutaneous injections, intramuscular injections, and allergy injections).
On the second day, (blood drawing) was an important lesson in the medical procedures course, and work was done on the two methods we have specified below.
Selecting a suitable vein for drawing blood.
Different types of syringes and tubes.
On the third and final day, (cannulation) became the main topic of the course, which was covered in two main points.
Selecting a suitable vein for placing a cannula.
Flushing the cannula with normal saline.
The Medical Procedures Course was presented by Mr. Hardi Hassan, who holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a Training of Trainers (TOT) certificate from NATO forces in military medical first aid.
The first phase of the Medical Procedures Course has concluded at the main building of the Kurdistan Students' Association. However, in the coming days, another similar course will be conducted for those students who registered but were unable to participate in this course; they will be contacted by telephone.
