Students' Association Opposes Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education's Decision Baghdad, Iraq

 - The Kurdistan Students' Association has voiced strong opposition to a recent directive from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The decision prohibits the use of the Kurdish language in examinations in the disputed territories of Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Diyala.[1]
The association has labeled the move as a "dangerous step." In a statement, the Kurdistan Students' Association expressed its condemnation of the ministry's decision, viewing it as a violation of the Iraqi constitution.[1]
According to the Iraqi constitution, both Arabic and Kurdish are official languages of the country. The students' association argues that this new directive is a clear infringement of constitutional and legal rights, and they have pledged to oppose it vigorously.
In a related development, the efforts of Mr. Khalid Shwani, the Iraqi Minister of Justice, to overturn this decision have been highly praised by the association. They expressed their gratitude for his dedication and prompt response to the matter.
