Kurdistan Students Association Meets the Needs of Visually Impaired Students

we welcomed visually impaired students from the provinces of Sulaymaniyah, Kirkuk, Halabja, and the Garmyan region.

The Kurdistan Students Association has undertaken the first phase of supporting visually impaired students by addressing their essential needs.

Today, at the Kurdistan Students Association hall, we welcomed visually impaired students from the provinces of Sulaymaniyah, Kirkuk, Halabja, and the Garmyan region. These students, accompanied by family members, visited the association’s headquarters. This initiative follows a pledge made by the association on World Braille Day to provide dedicated support to visually impaired students.

The project, implemented in partnership with the Andrea Organization, focuses on securing specialized educational resources for visually impaired students. In its first phase, 55 students have already benefited, with plans to expand coverage to include all visually impaired learners across educational institutions in Kurdistan.

Furthermore, the association emphasizes that this support encompasses visually impaired students at all educational levels—primary, middle, high school, university, and technical institutes.
